“This is the last time / so smile and walk away” hint towards “Be a Fortress” as a breakup song. In some cases, this is true. These songs are written after the end of School Dance and the breakup of a romantic relationship. However, these lyrics are not sung to another person, but rather a statement of renewed commitment to what Lorenzen calls, “saying 'no thank you' to that which doesn't serve me and to situations/people that aren't actually a fit, and to stay connected with the deeper parts of myself where my truth and creativity reside.”

“Be a Fortress” is the second single from an upcoming full length LP on Whited Sepulchre Records out this fall.
