Life has changed immensely in the months since starting writing MTO (More Than Once). The song melds together an existential snapshot of contemplating next-life-steps with a renewed commitment to changing relational dynamics. The diving imagery of Michael Ash Smith’s otherworldly photograph can be viewed as the deep dive into the unknown, the abyss, off the precipice referenced in the beginning of the song - β€œπΌ π“ˆπ“‰π‘œπ‘œπ’Ή π‘œπ“ƒ 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑒𝒹𝑔𝑒 π‘œπ’» 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓃𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉”.

A beloved and wise human once told me that in dreams, water represents the emotional body. I often dream of water, and in waking life, I relocated to pour some of my passions into helping run a hot spring in southern Colorado while also working on a second full length album and an ambient album.

lyrics

I stood on the edge of the night
A tripped out feeling in a tripped out life
I thought I knew you, thought I knew you, thought I knew

Come here
Stand in the light
Well I had this vision of holding you
I think I'm falling, think I'm falling, out of line

It's happened more than once
It happens all the time
And I'm out here waiting
Are you a waste of mine?

What would it take to make a dream life?
What's the grand condition of living it?
I can't fake it
I won't make it out this time

What do you say when it's no longer right?
What's the grand condition of loving you?
My words are falling
I am calling out this time

It's happened more than once
It happens all the time
And I'm out here waiting
Are you a waste of mine

I need you more than once
I need you all the time
And I'm out here waiting
Are you a waste of mine

What would it take to make it all right? Whats the grand condition of starting it? What would it take to make it all right? What's the grand condition of knowing it?
